Private Tutoring

During the first session, the tutor, parent and student will collaborate and discuss what the student needs from the service specifically. Additionally, the tutor will do a diagnostic session with the student to become familiar with their language abilities. Moving forward, sessions may range from 1 to 1.5 hours, and can be separated into multiple parts. Most commonly at the elementary level, students will need homework help, coupled with extra language reinforcements. At the secondary level, students often seek help completing assignments such as essay writing, presentation making, and exam preparation typically coupled with extra language reinforcements as well. These are just examples of what a session could run like, depending on the needs of the student and the concerns of the parent. If requested, Anna, our program director can communicate with the student’s teacher as well to gain more insight on their learning experience. This aims to ensure faster progress, attain student goals and respond to the concerns of parents.
